Aynsley, the founder of Gecko Fitness and the Young Athlete Programme, holds a BSc in Osteopathy and an MSc in Strength & Conditioning. His passion for injury prevention and rehabilitation encompasses a broad spectrum of athletes, from budding talents to elite professionals. Aynsley's extensive experience includes stints with the British Judo Medical team, International Speedway, and professional boxing, among others. Many of the young athletes under his tutelage have successfully met their aspirations, becoming national and international level competitors.

Studio Manager & Pilates Instructor

Claire Parker became a part of the Gecko family in 2005. She is now overseeing our custom-built studio and guiding the mat and reformer Pilates programmes. Claire's training style is methodical, patient-oriented, and always delivered with a warm smile. She is a firm believer in the Pilates machines as the ultimate solution for a "total body workout".

Head of Boxing & Fitness Coach Tom Fry, with more than 15 years of experience under his belt, leads our dynamic coaching team and oversees day to day running of our fitness facilities. He takes pleasure in managing the Young Athlete Programme and orchestrating our broad spectrum of training programmes. Tom is the brain behind our extremely popular and ever-growing 12 Rounds boxing programme. He firmly believes in the unmatched effectiveness of a high-intensity, full-body workout achieved through pad and bag drills.

Kadi Pariis graduated with first class BSc(Hons) degree in Osteopathy in 2013 and has since achieved distinction in MSc Physiotherapy. She brings more than 15 years of healthcare industry experience to the table. She is fervently dedicated to delivering top-tier clinical care and patient experience. Kadi's special focus lies in diagnostics, highlighted by her accomplishment of earning a distinction in PGCert in MSK Ultrasound by Sports Medicine Ultrasound Group (SMUG) and subsequently achieving distinction in PgDiploma in MSK Ultrasound at East London University.

Carolyn embodies academic brilliance, boasting a trio of Master's degrees in Physiotherapy, Osteopathy & Sports Medicine Exercise & Rehabilitation. Covering research into chronic lower back pain, injury recovery & physiological barriers and running injuries. In addition to over a decade of clinical experience and Masters level lecturing. Her passion for aiding patients in their journey towards an active, pain-free life is a testament to her exceptional clinical acumen. Leading an active lifestyle herself, Carolyn takes an interest in running, cycling and strength training, adding a practical perspective to her theoretical knowledge.

Claire became an integral part of the Gecko team in 2022, taking the helm of customer account management and business administration and was promoted to Assistant Practice Manager in late 2023 and Practice Manager role in 2025. She cherishes her active lifestyle, often engaging in vibrant activities with her family but won't shy away from a relaxing spa day. Her invaluable contribution to the smooth functioning of our operations is a testament to her commitment and dedication.

Lisa has an impressive background. Her postgraduate education includes cranial osteopathy, pregnancy, post-natal care, and kinesiology taping. With two decades of experience in manual therapy and healthcare, Lisa possesses a wealth of knowledge and skills. Her passion lies in working collaboratively with patients of all age groups, from newborns to seniors, helping them identify and achieve their health and lifestyle objectives. Lisa embraces an active lifestyle, cherishing countryside explorations with her dogs, weightlifting sessions, and the thrill of wild swimming.

Level 5 Massage & Soft Tissue Therapist

Simon is experienced and trained to combine massage with a host of other manual therapy techniques, including Rocktape and Myofascial Release. Simon is a member of the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage. He has worked extensively in multidisciplinary clinics in the Reading area. Prior to qualifying, he spent 30 years in the Armed Forces and the Fire Service. Simon enjoys family life, outdoor pursuits and calisthenics.

Alexandra Proctor

Alex graduated from Buckinghamshire New University with an MSc in Physiotherapy and has been a qualified level 5 clinical and remedial soft tissue and sports therapist for 10 years. She works extensively in sports as a senior therapist and medic with Rams RFC, Bracknell RFC, Berkshire county and Ireland ladies and is under mentorship with Bath Rugby. Her other specialism is with ballerinas, gymnasts and acrobats after her previous career working in the professional dance industry as a dancer, aerialist choreographer and teacher and is a fully comprehensive Pilates instructor trained in all the original Pilates large apparatus. She is also currently qualifying as a level 4 strength and conditioning coach to help patients reach their rehabilitation goals.

Jack is a valued member of our fitness team with a strong commitment to athletic development, injury prevention and rehabilitation, and the promotion of long-term health and performance. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science and an MSc in Strength and Conditioning, and is currently working towards professional accreditation with the UKSCA. Jack has valuable coaching experience, having taught Judo since 2019 and spent a season as a strength and conditioning coach with Rams RFC. His sporting background includes Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, rugby, and weightlifting, pursuits that underpin his active lifestyle and shape his evidence-based, athlete-focused coaching philosophy.

Consultant Physiotherapist MSc, MMACP, MCSP

Stewart graduated as a Physiotherapist with a MSc in Rehabilitation Science from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2001 having achieved a first class honours degree in Sports Science from the University of Wales in 1998. Stewart has worked in a broad area of settings over 23 years, NHS, private practice and professional sport football, rugby union and tennis. Stewart’s professional development initially involved a PGdip in Manipulative Physiotherapy and progressed to tutor for the Musculoskeletal Association of Physiotherapists (MACP). More recent professional development has focused on expertise in Ultrasonography with a distinction PGcert from (SMUG, Sports Medicine Ultrasound Group) at the University College of Osteopathy and qualifying as an Independent Prescriber from Hertfordshire University. To complete this specialisation Stewart also holds PGcert in Injection Therapy from the University of East London.

Joseph is a Nutrition Consultant specialising in nutrition for fat loss and muscle gain, high performance, and physique athletes. He has been helping people achieve their goals for over twelve years, having built a solid foundation with his undergraduate degree in Sport & Exercise Sciences and masters degree (distinction) in Sports Nutrition. As a former Performance Nutritionist for the English Institute of Sport (EIS) and British Athletics, Joseph provided world-leading nutritional support to Britain’s best track and field athletes, leading to many medals won at international competitions. In 2018, Joseph was appointed as Assistant Professor in Sport & Exercise Medicine at the University of Nottingham, where he led the MSc Sports and Exercise Nutrition module. Alongside his nutrition consultancy, he is currently completing his PhD at the University of Nottingham and Arthritis Research UK Centre for Sport, Exercise and Osteoarthritis, in which he is looking into the effects of exercise and nutrition on knee osteoarthritis progression. Joseph's passion for truth and objectivity have formed the basis of his obsession to help as many people as possible to achieve their nutritional goals through clear and actionable advice.
