How does OSTENIL® MINI work?
OSTENIL® MINI is a hyaluronic acid injection designed specifically for smaller joints, such as those in the hands, wrists, ankles, and feet. It contains the same active ingredient as standard OSTENIL®, but in a lower volume and dose, making it particularly suitable for more delicate joint spaces.
Sodium hyaluronate is a naturally occurring substance found in healthy joints. When injected into an affected joint, it helps restore lubrication, reduce friction, and support smoother joint movement. This can help relieve pain, improve joint function, and support everyday activities.
Because of its lower dose (10 mg / 1.0 ml), OSTENIL® MINI allows targeted treatment of smaller joints while maintaining the beneficial effects of hyaluronic acid.
Who might benefit from OSTENIL® MINI?
OSTENIL® MINI may be suitable for people who experience pain, stiffness, or reduced movement in smaller joints, particularly when symptoms have not fully responded to exercise, physiotherapy, or simple pain relief.

How is OSTENIL® MINI administered?
OSTENIL® MINI is typically given as a course of injections, usually three injections delivered over a period of three weeks, depending on the joint involved and clinical assessment.
The injections are performed using ultrasound guidance by a trained and experienced practitioner to ensure accurate placement and maximise safety and effectiveness.
The procedure is quick and minimally invasive, and most patients tolerate it well.
