Gecko Fitness presents – The X Range
The X range is a new and exciting way to train both mind and body to achieve your goals. These challenging workouts, previously reserved exclusively for our elite athletes, are now available to the individual and even group classes are receiving the X factor!
The key elements to the X range workout are intensity, variety and challenge.
X range workouts create a perfect challenge for serious athletes, bored gym goers, or for those of us who are just looking to be pushed a little further in life!
Research has long shown us that short, intense workouts heavily out-score longer workouts in terms of rewards such as weight loss, improved cardiovascular performance and greater strength! The X range workout will help you to achieve all three!
For most of us it is extremely difficult to push ourselves to the limits on our own. It is human nature to perform better and achieve success when being driven forward by someone else. X range workouts will open your eyes to whole new way of working out, introducing you to new kit, but also teaching you how to train with no equipment whatsoever, so you can workout anywhere in the world!
Who can do it?
The X range workouts are available to anyone!
The focus of every session is about your maximum input and effort, not somebody else’s. You will be encouraged to achieve your full potential by competing against yourself and no one else. Your challenge will always be to attain a new personal best.
Where does it happen?
Sessions are designed to offer you something different each time. They can take place in an open space, a sports hall, even in your garden. You can work hard anywhere with little or no equipment. All outdoor sessions come with free air conditioning!
How long is a session?
As mentioned above the session is about maximising results in a short space of time, X range classes and one to one sessions are between 30-45 minutes long. People participating in an X range workout are advised to warm up prior to the session or class in order to start training straight away.
Who will take the session?
The X range sessions are overseen by the strength and conditioning team at Gecko Fitness. The team has over 10 years of experience in using this style of intense workouts to get professional athletes into shape. It’s an intense workout and a good technique is vital so where necessary the team will give you best tips on how to improve yours.
You will be worked hard but always within your limits (alright maybe just slightly beyond!)
Do I use Equipment?
The X range will introduce you to body weight training, kettlebells, powerbags, sledges, running parachutes and medicine balls to name just a few.
If you prefer padded seats, air conditioning and televisions on your equipment then X range is probably not for you!

Try this very simple X range workout:
Always warm up first and then try the following
- Find some open space and put down a marker (a drinks bottle for example) put another marker down approximately 25 metres away.
- After very exercise sprint from A-B and back before performing the next exercise.
- Press ups x 10
- Sprint
- Squats x 10
- Sprint
- Burpess x10
- Sprint
The above equals 1 repetition! Give yourself a minute to recover and go again! The aim would be to repeat the circuit 10 times and cut the resting time down in between. Once you can do this flat out with no rest then email the team and we will pat you on the back!
